Lake District Landscape

The Lake District has attracted painters and photographers in increasing number over the past two centuries. Most of the books listed below are from photographers, with a few on the underlying geology and landscape history, but I'll be correcting that shortly by adding more "artists of the brush". On my "Around England" site there is an article on the 2011 Lake Artists Summer Exhibition in Grasmere (by no means all landscape artists), and on this site a short piece on early books containing landscape illustrations by Alfred Heaton Cooper.
